Singapore real estate investment firm CapitaLand jumps into Austin with $300M joint venture
It’s not just domestic firms looking to invest in Austin real estate. Foreign investment is coming to town as well. Singapore-based CapitaLand announced Dec. 7 plans to develop a 341-unit multifamily property near The Domain. The project would be the firm’s first in the Texas capital and is part of a larger $300 million joint venture with an undisclosed partner.

Austin FC owners provide updates on stadium construction in ‘State of the Stadium Address’
AUSTIN, Texas — The owners of a brand new Major League Soccer team coming to Austin gave an update on the North Austin stadium’s construction on Wednesday.
Austin FC hosted the “State of the Stadium Address” at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Construction is set to begin at a groundbreaking event on Sept. 5.

A new tower will neighbor Austin FC’s future stadium in a few years.
AUSTIN, Texas — It looks like Austin FC’s future stadium at McKalla Place near The Domain is getting a pretty tall neighbor.
It’s called, “Arena Tower,” and Capella Capital Partners is the development firm behind it.
“There’s a sense of pride to this for us to bring a building like this,” said Neil Francois, one of the founding principals of Capella Capital Partners.

An Austin-based development firm plans to build a 19-story office tower on land next to the future Major League Soccer stadium in north Austin.
Capella Capital Partners’ project, called Arena Tower, is slated for 10615 Burnet Road. The site is just south of Braker Lane and one block from the Domain, the mixed-use project that has come to be known as Austin’s “second downtown.”

Austin and PSV finalize soccer stadium deal; MLS team likely to kick off in 2021.
The deal between the city of Austin and Precourt Sports Ventures for a Major League Soccer stadium is complete.
In a Wednesday morning city memo, Deputy Chief Financial Officer Greg Canally said the two sides had finalized and executed a lease and development agreement for McKalla Place, a 24-acre city-owned property in North Austin, just south of The Domain.
